Individuals
The first step for individuals is to find a Reformed Episcopal parish in your area. If there are no parishes in your vicinity, you may email the affiliation office [email protected] for further options.
When you find a parish, contact the local pastor and he will be able to instruct you in the process. A Letter of Transfer from your prior parish is standard practice (if available). If you are not baptized or confirmed, the local pastor will aid you in preparations for both baptism and confirmation.
Clergy
The transfer of Clergy credentials involves a process of application, examination, reception, and in some cases regularization of orders. Transfers are subject to the approval of the Diocesan Bishop and the Standing Committee. Depending on each individual's situation, other requirements may be necessary.
Applications should be made obtained and submitted to the Diocese in which you you seek to affiliate. Please see the Diocesan websites for these applications and/or contact information.
Parishes
The Reformed Episcopal Church has a three-level process for parish affiliation. Throughout the stages of affiliation the Bishop in charge of the geographical area in which the parish exists will oversee the process. We offer a complete document with forms explaining the process in further detail. It may be viewed from the link below.
